John's 30th BBQ

John's 30th birthday was May 23. I threw a "surprise" birthday for him. Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this a wonderful time. It is so nice to be able to open up our house to everyone and share what we have spent countless hours and incredible amounts of energy on.

Happy Birthday John!

Thank you Dad!

RAIN

Last weekend we had some pretty good rains. My flowers loved it. It is the simple things in life...

"Sex and the City"

Fabulous.
I give it two thumbs up. I was impressed. Having watch all the episodes I was thoroughly impressed and entertained by the movie. It was everything that I had expected, keeping me engaged the entire time. It was also wonderful to be in a theatre full of women. That is pretty cool in its self. Four of the seven show times for the Bellingham location were sold out for the premier showing.
Who do you relate the most to? For me I think that it is two fold I would like to identify with Carrie but I also feel that I can relate to Charlotte. SO it would be a mix of the gals.
Here is to Jess, yes I am writing about "my so called life" Kinda crazy who would of thought. I am kind of hooked. Poppe's this week? Or maybe I will have you to my house and we can sit in my front room that has a way better view and we will not drop a chunk of change for liquid sugar...

BBQ with BCE

Thank you Back Country Essentials crew for a wonderful BBQ last night. It was great to see everyone and hear of all the aspirations people have for the coming summer months. I want to get out and ride with everyone. All of the energy is contagious.

The "Sex and the City" movie premiere is tonight! I can't wait to go watch it with you Jess! It is time to embrace the trashy TV watching side of me. We all need some sort of guilty pleasure to escape in.

As of now I am going to start running again. I have let it slip to the back burner. In doing so I believe that my quality of life has also dwindled. I feel sluggish, unfocused and this overall feeling of unhealthiness. The commute to and from work does the job but running is in a class all of its own. I really feel as it will be a part of my life for the coming years.

Enjoy the weekend!

Biking to work

The Department of Transportation said Monday it had seen the sharpest monthly drop in driving since it began keeping records. In March, Americans drove 11 billion fewer miles than in March of 2007.

If this isn't inspiring and proving that change is possible, maybe the first had account of the number of people I pass on the way to work also on bikes is a testament. Change can happen, I see it the most when our pocketbooks are in the equation.
